  • Check out Quality Forum 2018!
    • We had a great time at our seventh annual Quality Forum, and we think that this year’s speakers and presentations were some of the best ever. And we have the evidence to back up that belief: videos of Health Talks, the debate, and all three plenaries, plus presentations from fantastic sessions, and photos from all three days.

Being forced from one’s home by a natural disaster is a rare occurrence that most of us will never face. However, tens of thousands of British Colombians are going through this upheaval right now as hundreds of wildfires burn throughout the province. Mental health experts warn that the emotional toll of disaster can be as devastating as the financial strains of damage and loss of home, business or personal property. For more information visit Canadian Mental Health Health Association.

Interior Health Community Update Regarding Doctors in Ashcroft –  Nov 24, 2016

CFJC TODAY November 15, 2016:

Ashcroft’s newest doctor enjoying his new rural lifestyle

Access To My Health Portal Offered

MyHealthPortal offered to Thompson Nicola – area patients

Interior Health will offer Thompson Nicola  patients access to their personal health information online via the new MyHealthPortal tool.
MyHealthPortal provides patients with 24 hour access to their health information via their phone, tablet or computer through a secure portal from the Interior Health website. Features include the ability to view Interior Health lab results, diagnostic imaging reports (such as X-ray, CT and ultrasound), certain upcoming appointments, recent hospital visit history, and the opportunity to update address and phone number information.
Remote enrolment is available in Ashcroft and Merritt after Oct. 31, and Lillooet and Clearwater after Nov. 7. To enrol remotely, patients must first ask to have their email address added to their patient record at the Registration desk during their next visit to hospital and then can submit an enrolment request at MyHealthPortal support will contact them by phone to verify their identity and complete enrolment.

The Thompson Nicola-area hospitals are the latest to be offered access to the online tool. MyHealthPortal is currently also available to patients who have enrolled in person or via remote enrollment at the pilot sites. In the future, the service will be introduced to all Interior Health hospital patients through a phased roll-out schedule. To date, more than 1,170 patients have enrolled in MyHealthPortal.

MyHealthPortal is a secure patient health portal. Protecting and safeguarding patients’ personal information is among Interior Health’s highest priorities. In addition to stringent privacy practices, Interior Health uses a diverse range of technologies and security mechanisms to ensure the safety, confidentiality and integrity of patient information.
